If you’d rather not prepare breakfast yourself, there are numerous spots in Accra where you can eat breakfast at affordable prices. Thus, read on as I share with you 6 of the breakfast spots in Accra.

Jamestown Coffee Company

This spacious, airy café is located at Plot 7B West Light in Osu. Its contact number is 0593811606, and working hours are from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM on weekdays and from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM on weekends. 

Besides its delicious breakfast meals, Jamestown is also known for its coffee, which is made in Ghana. 

You can order all-day breakfast, pastries and dessert, lunch or dinner here, all moderately priced. 

One of their bestsellers is the Labadi iced latté, composed of blended espresso and sweetened milk, and is extremely refreshing.



A lovely little café, Kukun, is situated on 14 Koi Street in Osu. It is open from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM each day of the week, and for all enquiries, you can reach them on 0558268120.

It has an indoor sitting area, perfect as a workspace, and an outdoor sitting area, where you can have drinks with friends. 

I can confidently say that Kukun has superb food, great drinks and a lovely ambience.

Meals here are very affordable, and you can also order normal meals such as Jollof or fried rice with chicken. 

If you’re out with friends, you can order the Kukun brunch platter for 2, which goes for a cool price of GHS 160.

Kwae Terrace

I love Kwae terrace. From the delicious food to the spectacular views to the cosy aesthetic and decor, the Kwae terrace is a go-to. 

It is located in Volta Place (VRA PROPCo) at 32 Patrice Lumumba Street in Airport City

This restaurant is open from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM on Mondays to Thursdays, 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM on Fridays and 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Saturdays. 

It is closed on Sundays. Kwae terrace can be reached on 0549765058. It is well-known for its all-day breakfast, sandwiches and pork chops, which are very tasty. 

You can also treat yourself to a smoothie by delicious, which is available on Fridays only.

Cafe Kwae


This cosy and cute restaurant is perfect for self-dates, breakfast or a quick catch-up with friends. 

It can be found on the ground floor of One Airport Square in Airport City and can be reached on 0552280063 for general enquiries. 

It is open from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM on weekdays and from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM on weekends.

Foods sold here are affordable and include pancakes with maple syrup, French toast, a full English breakfast, and famous sweet potato fries.

Rosé Garden


Rosé garden is a picturesque breakfast and brunch spot in Labone, between Cupcake boutique and Bosphorus.

It is situated at 4746 Ndabaningi Sithole Road in Labone, and working hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM from Wednesday to Sunday. 

Please note that it is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. To make a reservation, you can call them on 0594816436, but it is best to book days before as tables are very limited. 

At Rosé, you can enjoy an affordable breakfast under a cool breeze, although they also sell other types of food.

Cafe Accra


My go-to breakfast spot, Cafe Accra, is one of the best cafés in Accra. It is located at 49 Boundary Road in East Legon and can be reached on 0558039344. 

Cafe Accra is open from 8:30 AM to 7:00 PM each day except Sunday, which is open from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM. 

I’ve had one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever eaten in Accra in this cosy and unassuming place. 

All their meals are prepared from scratch; it is better to call ahead and order if you don’t want to wait more than an hour for your meal. 

For all pancake lovers, I recommend the Good Morning combo, which contains pancakes, bacon, sausage and scrambled eggs and costs just GHS 60.

Petit Dejeuner

Petit Dejeuner

Quite easy to miss, Petite dejeuner is situated in a house on Odoi Beyeden Street in East Legon. 

This breakfast restaurant is open each day of the week from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM, except Sundays, on which it is closed. 

You can reach them on the number 0256330029. It only features an outdoor sitting area and provides breakfast options strictly.

Petit dejeuner is the cheapest breakfast spot on this list, with satisfying combos as low as GHS 45.
